PRAYER REQUESTS FOR 10.20.09
Hola!
Today the ladies of the church learned how to use the sewing machines that JoAnn has here!!! This was quite exciting as Lori was the instructor, assisted by Lois and Deb (who hasn’t touched one for at least 10 years!!! ) We taught the ladies how to run the sewing machines, and the day ended with them each making a place mat themselves. You should of seen the smiles as they stitched their first projects !!!! JoAnn felt they all looked happier than usual as they left for the day. Tomorrow they will return for more lessons. This project was one that brought big smiles to JoAnn’s face also as this was a dream she has had for some time.
We also enjoyed fresh fruit salad for lunch– When was the last time you had fresh banana’s off of the tree? The weather is getting quite chilly tonight and looks like rain. We started building the trusses for Sandy and Joanne’s house today. We cut all the lumber and assembled 2 of 14 that are needed for the house, boy without Randy’s knowledge of framing houses I think we would still be figuring out what angle to cut what board. We estimated each truss at around 1 thousand pounds each. It took all 6 of us to lift them. God provided the right people and supplies on this trip to get both the sewing ministries and the construction project done.
Please pray for continued safety, good health and weather so we can get all the projects done that the Lord has placed in our path.
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you where ever you go. Joshua 1:9
